Shri Krishna Katha Contest Season 3 - Winners
The Krishna Katha competition was held under the patronage of Sri Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha, pontiff of Sri Palimaru Mutt Udupi during Souramana Krishnashtami 2020. This was conducted with a view to inculcate the tradition of a family story time, where not only stories are passed from the elders to their next generation, but also family bonds are built, children are taught to appreciate our strong cultural roots, improve the power of imagination and importantly reduce screen time which has become a neccessary evil today.
Also, the emphasis is on mother tongue to simulate vocabulary and build a bond between the elder and the child in a language they can both communicate confidently.
In this aspect, everyone who participated is a winner as they partook love for Krishna as well as love for sowing the seeds of culture and tradition in the citizens of tomorrow. However, it is also important to have a spirit of healthy competition. This year we recevied a good number of entries in each of the 6 languages namely Kannada, Tulu, Tamil, Telugu, Konkani and Marathi. Entries were judged by a panel of able scholars on the basis of authenticity whether the story adheres to its orginal version in the scriptures,presentation skill, language maturity and simplicity, confidence of the participants and their ability to captivate the interest of the childern.
On these basis the following participants have been declared toppers in each language category.
|Tulu||Shubha Shrinivasa Upadhyaya||https://youtu.be/Ef64JmfkXdk|
|Konkani||Annapurna Pandita Malya||https://youtu.be/mszLz2o286w|
