# Sri Palimaru Matha

> Sri Palimaru Matha — the first matha established by Jagadguru Sri Madhwacharya. One of the Ashta Mathas of Udupi, Karnataka, India.

Sri Palimaru Matha follows the Dvaita Vedanta tradition. The current Peethadhipathi is H.H. Sri Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha Sripadaru, the 31st pontiff. The matha runs branches and ashramas across India, operates traditional Vedic schools and a research wing, and organises sacred yatras for devotees.
