The aided higher primary school of Kantavara village in Karkala taluk and the higher primary school of Bantwala have been adopted by His Holiness Vidyadeesha Teertha from the current academic year. Currently there are only 60 and 10 students in each of the schools respectively. Efforts will be made to run the schools retaining kannada as the medium of instruction. Alongside, English medium too shall be introduced to attract more children.

Remuneration of the teachers, meals for the children, uniforms and books annually shall be provided for by Shri Matha itself.

12 more schools have been added to the ongoing Shri Krishna prasada chinnara santarpane program this year.
