Under the aegis of Shri Jagadguru Moolamahasamsthanam Shri Hrishikesha Teertha Peetam paraya Shri Palimaru Matha Shri Krishna Matha, Shri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsava programs were inaugurated by the former Chief Minister of Karnataka, H.D.Kumaraswamy in the august presence of His Holiness Vidyadheesha Teertha of paryaya Palimaru, His Holiness Eeshapriya Teertha, the junior seer of Adamaru Matha and His Holiness Vidyarajeshwara Teertha, the junior seer of Palimaru Matha at the rajangana of Shri Krishna Matha. The event was attended by the former Tourism Minister of Karnataka, S.R.Mahesh, Legislative Assembly member Bhoje Gowda, Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat, former Minister Pramod Madhvaraj and President of NMPT Venkataramana Akkaraju. During this occasion, historian Prof.Paadooru Shripati, artist Shamakrishna, Krishnananda Chaatra of Durgamba Motors, Dr.Anantapadmanabha Acharya of Nitte Educational Institutions and Prakashchandra Shetty of G M Vidyaniketan Haradi were felicitated. The program began with vedaghosha by the students of the matha and a dance recital ‘Shri Krishna Leela’ by performers from Kodavooru Nrityaniketana.
